Attorney Perry O’Brian
Perry O’Brian is a Bangor, Maine native. He attended John Bapst High School, the University of Maine at Orono and Maine Law School in Portland. He graduated from law school in 1984 and returned to Bangor, Maine to set up his practice. In the early years, Mr. O’Brian handled bankruptcies, social security disability cases, criminal cases and family law matters. As time went on, bankruptcy cases became more and more the focus of his practice until it made up a majority of his case load. When Congress changed the bankruptcy laws in 2005, Mr. O’Brian made the decision to focus exclusively on bankruptcy law. Given the complexities of the new laws, Mr. O’Brian decided that clients needed an attorney who was well versed in the new laws. Mr. O’Brian has helped hundreds and hundreds of bankruptcy clients over the past 26 years get a fresh start through bankruptcy.
Perry O’Brian is an avid hiker and can often be found hiking a trail in Maine with his dog, Moxie.
Perry O’Brian is married and lives in Bangor, ME with his wife Rose.
Legal Assistant Vicki Lingley
Vicki Lingley, has over 5 years of bankruptcy experience and is a certified bankruptcy assistant with the Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants. Vicki is a Bangor native. Vicki spent most of her career in the medical field. She worked in the EMMC emergency room and the operating room at St. Joseph Hospital. She later worked in the office of a local doctor. Her background in the medical field makes Vicki well suited to deal with issues and problems that confront bankruptcy clients. She is compassionate, understanding and sympathetic. The skills she developed in the medical field have made the transition to the legal field an easy one. Beyond being a certified bankruptcy assistant, Vicki regularly attends bankruptcy conferences to keep up to date on the legal issues involved in consumer bankruptcy law.
Vicki is married and lives with her husband and her 2 teenage children.
